Magh Gupt Navratri is an auspicious festival in Hindu culture. It is a nine-day-long festival that worships the Goddess Shakti. Magh Gupta Navratri is considered to ward off any negativity or obstacles in your life. During this time, many feminine deities are worshipped, and shakti puja is performed for Goddess Durga, she helps the devotees by blessing their work and removing any barrier that comes their way. The festival is celebrated twice a year i.e one during ashada in June and the other in January. 

History of Magh Gupt Navratri

It is believed that if a woman performs the puja during this time along with keeping all 9 days fast then Goddess will help her removing in marital problems. All 9 forms of the Goddess are worshipped on a different day throughout the 9-day festival. Fast is kept and broken in the evening after puja. Grandparents like to visit their daughters and grand-daughter to shower them with their blessings. Many believe Navratri is a festival to test one’s faith in god and worship the goddess secretly. That is why the festival is also called Gupt Navratri or “secret of nine nights.”
